We offer sessions to introduce students to the idea of going to university.
We visit schools and colleges, as well as offering on-campus events to enable students to work with our academics and cutting-edge facilities.
Discover Days enable post-16 students (Years 12 & 13 and access students) to get hands-on and interactive understanding of a given subject area and a feel for university life.
Discover DaysOpen to students who are heading towards the end of their secondary and A-level education, our bespoke workshops cover everything from writing a sparkling personal statement to transitioning to higher education with confidence.
Our workshops give students an informative, yet interactive, experience. They will learn how, why, and when to apply for university, but the workshops are also designed to calm nerves, as well as explore the benefits of going to university.
Our workshops support your students through their next educational steps. It’s true that many students face barriers to higher education, and we’re here to make sure they can be overcome. Sessions will be delivered online either live or pre-recorded with a live Q&A option.

Progression Agreements apply to the majority of undergraduate programmes offered by the University (BSc Speech and Language Therapy is not currently included within our progression offer). Providing you meet the minimum entry requirements for your chosen course(s) in your application, you will be made an offer equivalent to one grade below the stated programme entry.
This enhanced offer applies to all Level 3 qualifications (BTEC, A level and Access to Higher Education Diploma courses).
