Why be a MarjonSport Scholar?
Sport is at the heart of 美姬阁. With first class facilities on campus and constant one on one support, our scholars benefit from being part of a close community in our beautiful city.
As a smaller institution we’re able to provide dedicated mentoring to our scholars with monthly sessions. We believe this level of contact provides a unique level of support.
At Marjonour scholarship program is grounded in providing athletes the opportunity to flourish as competitors while developing their careers through a range of academic courses.

What’s on offer as a MarjonScholar?
Direct financial support – bursaries of up to £4,000 are available per year
Free access to our full support network –
- MarjonSport & Health Centre – gym, swimming pool & sports hall
- MarjonSport & Health Clinic – rehabilitation, sport massage & Osteopathy Clinic
- BUCS membership & individual BUCS entry fees covered.
- Sport Psychology, strength & conditioning sessions and performance sports kit
- Monthly mentoring sessions covering all aspects of the student experience.
Who can apply for an Elite Sport Scholarship?
- To be eligible for a Marjonelite Sport Scholarship you must either have applied to study at, or already be studying at, Plymouth MarjonUniversity.
- Able to represent Marjonin BUCS competitions & wider sporting competitions.
- Competing/representing at a national or international level in your respective sport.
We’re proud to have supported a range of athletes across a multitude of sports. From conventional team sports to non-traditional individuals’ sports, our broad facilities provide the perfect base for any athlete to develop alongside their studies.
International Students can still apply for a MarjonPerformance Sport Scholarship through the Student Sport Company

When & how to apply for an Elite Sport Scholarship
The window to apply for a Sport Performance Scholarship for the 2025/26 academic year at Marjonis now LIVE.
The application window will run until the 30th April 2025. Please fill out an application form via this link:
During this window you may be invited to a online interview. At Marjonwe love to get to know our scholars, and this can provide a valuable experience in understanding your potential fit here at 美姬阁.
International Students – You can apply for a MarjonPerformance Sport Scholarship through the Student Sport Company who are able to provide specialist support through this process –
